Carson Polk is currently the JMU School of Music Media Specialist, overseeing livestream/video recording coordination and production of School of Music performances in the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts, as well as performances/events held in Anthony-Seeger Auditorium. Carson graduated from JMU in 2023 with his B.S. in Media Arts and Design, concentrating in Creative Advertising (in addition to Music and History minors). A percussionist for over 13 years, Carson has performed with various ensembles in a wide range of contexts, though his favorite is musical (pit) orchestra. He also plays the tuba. In his free time, he works with the Marching Royal Dukes, producing graphic designs and other digital media assets for the program.
