The JMU Flute Club and the School of Music present Flute Fling, typically held every two years on a Saturday in the spring. This event is a fun and informative day of flute activities presented and sponsored by the students of the JMU Flute Club and geared towards flutists of all ages, teachers, band directors, and flute aficionados!
Flute Fling features prominent flutists in recitals and masterclasses, joined by outstanding collaborative artists. Flute Fling also features a variety of workshops, a flute choir reading session and performance for all participants, masterclasses, and performances by JMU Flute Professor Dr. Beth Chandler Cahill, the JMU Flute Choir, and student soloists.
All events are held at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in the School of Music and the beautiful, state-of-the-art JMU Forbes Center for the Performing Arts.
