Sandy and Gibbie ('61) Berry

For Alexander "Sandy" and Jane "Gibbie" Parrish Berry ('61) scholarship is a family affair. The couple, their two children, Dukes in their own right, plus their extended Berry/Parrish family—14 in all—understand the importance of scholarships and how they change lives. Underlining their belief is the faithful and generous support they have given through the Alexander B. Berry Jr./Linwood G. Parrish Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Sandy also served as rector of the board of visitors and Jane currently serves on the president's executive council. The Berrys and their family exemplify how to Be the Change through their lifetime support of higher education.
