Explore Madison week is an opportunity for any JMU student to grow their involvement and community on campus. Events will vary from small student organization involvement fairs to connection events! 

This fall, Explore Madison will be hosted September 28th through October 2nd.

This lunch is open to all student organization leaders. Join us to share your experience as a student organization leader with our team and other leaders! Even if you can join us for 30 minutes or the full two hours, we would love for you to join one of table discussions. Lunch will be first come, first served.

Learn to Play: Wheelchair Basketball

Every month, the Accessibility and Inclusion Committee at UREC will host a day of Paralympic Sport Drop-In. Drop-in will be available from 1p.m.- 6 p.m. and 7.p.- Close. The Learn to Play event will be from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m.

Group Fitness Orientation

A Fitness Orientation is a group orientation session with a UREC Fitness Manager, a service provided to all members at no additional cost. A UREC staff member will walk your group through the Fitness Center and show you how to use different equipment to diversify your workout.

Secret Supper Club

Looking for a unique and fun way to meet new people? Secret Supper Club is for you! Secret Supper Club is a dinner party where the location and guest list of the dinner is kept secret. People interested in participating will register for a chance for them and their plus one to win seats at a dinner party for up to 50 people. Participants will be split between international and domestic students. Dinner guests are selected at random a week before the event and the location is disclosed to them the day before. Two Wheels and Two Scoops

3pm-5pm

On this adventure trip, participants will meet at the UREC Adventure Center to get outfitted with bikes and helmets before departing for a road ride through campus and into downtown Harrisonburg. Once downtown, the group will head to Kline’s Dairy Bar for an ice cream or warm beverage before biking back to UREC. UREC will provide both bikes and helmets, however, participants may bring their own if they like. Participants must cover the cost of their own purchase from Kline’s.
