***Notice: The JMU Star Party scheduled for Thursday November 7, 2024 has been cancelled due to cloudy weather. Join us for the next Star Party in two weeks on November 21, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the JMU Astronomy Park. All JMU Star Parties are family events and children are most welcome!***
***Notice: The next Science Sunday for Girls will be held the SECOND Sunday in December on Sunday December 8, 2024 at the John C. Wells Planetarium from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. We are moving it to December 8th to work around Thanksgiving Weekend. Science Sunday for Girls is always open to all and the public is cordially invited.***
The John C. Wells Planetarium is currently taking reservations for visits by school and community groups on weekday mornings for the 2024-2025 school year. Please use the Reservations link to start setting up a trip to the Planetarium!
The John C. Wells Planetarium at James Madison University is a state-of-the-art hybrid facility which offers free Saturday public shows from early September through May (except during JMU Breaks), and is also available for use during the week by school groups and community groups by reservation.
