***Notice: It is a beautiful clear night so the James Madison University Star Party scheduled for October 24, 2024 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the JMU Astronomy Park is happening! This is a great oportunity fo look through our telescopes at planets, stars, and galaxies. All JMU Star Parties are family events and children are most welcome!*
The next Science Sunday for Girls will be held on Sunday November 3, 2024 at the John C. Wells Planetarium from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Science Sunday for Girls is always open to all and the public is cordially invited.
The John C. Wells Planetarium is currently taking reservations for visits by school and community groups on weekday mornings for the 2024-2025 school year. Please use the Reservations link to start setting up a trip to the Planetarium!
The John C. Wells Planetarium at James Madison University is a state-of-the-art hybrid facility which offers free Saturday public shows from early September through May (except during JMU Breaks), and is also available for use during the week by school groups and community groups by reservation.
