Exams, Licensing, and Certification Tests are payable under Post-9/11 (Chapter 33) GI Bill.
The Department of Veterans Affairs can reimburse you for taking a license or certification test. The test must be on the list to be paid. For more infomation and to find the required VA form, go to:

VA will only pay for the cost of the licensing/certification test and not other fees connected with obtaining a license or certification.

You must have remaining entitlement and your delimiting date must not have passed.

Generally, you must apply for reimbursement within one year of the date the test was taken.

Entitlement charges for licensing and certification exams and national tests under the Post-9/11 GI Bill will be prorated based on the actual amount of the fee charged for the test.

Effective August 1, 2011, the Veterans Educational Assistance Improvements Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-377) allows for reimbursement of fees paid to take national exams (SAT, ACT, GMAT, LSAT).

If you're currently receiving benefits under Post-9/11 and you wish to get reimbursed for a test, you need to fill out and submit VA Form 22-0803. Along with the form, you also need to submit: test results (OR license/certification you received as a result of passing the test AND a copy of the receipt which shows how much you paid to take the test).

If you have NOT applied for education benefits and want to get reimbursed for a test, then you will need to submit an application for education benefits along with VA-Form 22-0803. If you're a veteran or service member, then you'll need to complete VA Form 22-1990. If you're the dependent, then you'll need to complete VA Form 22-1990E.
