Erin E.C. Phillippi is the marketing and content coordinator for Research, Economic Development and Innovation (REDI), which provides an exciting opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge inquiry and creative exploration JMU faculty engage in every day.

Before joining REDI, Erin worked for Ethical Reasoning in Action: The Madison Collaborative and the office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Curriculum. She has also taught for JMU's School of Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication and the International Study Center, a part of Study Group USA. That coursework has included first-year composition, developmental writing, rhetoric and the body, the rhetoric of banned books, and American culture.

As an Honors Scholar, Erin earned her B.A. in English and creative writing from Mary Baldwin College (now Mary Baldwin University) and her M.A. in English literature from James Madison University.
