Madison Scholarships Hub is the application center for all scholarships at JMU.
Incoming First-Year & Transfer Students:
First-Year Merit-based:
The primary criterion for merit-based scholarships is exceptional academic performance. Other selection criteria may include leadership, involvement, and career goals. Learn more.
First-Year Need-based:
To be eligible for need-based scholarships at JMU, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The largest need-based scholarship is the Centennial Scholars Program.
Transfer:
Both merit- and need-based scholarships are available for incoming transfer students. Learn more.
Returning Students:
For returning students, the majority of new scholarship eligibility will come from two areas:
- Your academic department, usually for rising juniors/seniors

Make sure to complete a General Application in Madison Scholarships Hub early every year and review any recommended opportunities.
