The Science and Math Learning Center is committed to helping all students regardless of their academic ability or skill level. We are adequately staffed to ensure that peer or faculty tutors are available during normal hours of operation. There is an average of 4 peer tutors and 2 faculty members available to assist students per hour during normal business hours. At night, we have an average of 6 peer tutors. Students have access to 20 computers to be used for their online and homework assignments (ARIS, LON-CAPA, SPSS, etc.)

The Science and Math Learning Center (SMLC) program provides support to James Madison University students enrolled in first and second year science and mathematics courses by providing a secure, supportive learning environment that fosters independent thinking.
