Science on a Sphere

TAG contributed $1000 in 2008 to support development of recorded narrations to accompany Science on a Sphere data visualizations. Science on a Sphere provides viewers with an astronaut's perspective by displaying planetary animations on a suspended, six foot diameter sphere. Most animations require a faculty member be present to assist the viewer in interpreting the visualization. The newly-narrated animations can be played by a docent, and this will enable a greater number of outreach events. For more information on Science on a Sphere, see http://sos.noaa.gov/.
