Ms. Kate McDaniel is the Transfer Advising Coordinator for the Shenandoah Valley Region including:
- Blue Ridge Community College
- Laurel Ridge Community College
- Piedmont Virginia Community College
She can also assist with students from other VCCS schools, as well as out-of-state and 4-year transfers.
Virtual Appointments:
- Current JMU students: Log into MyMadison Connect (view tutorial) and select Other Advising Support, then select Transfer Credit Advisor. Schedule a Zoom or phone appointment (30 minutes)

In-Person Appointments:
Kate McDaniel: Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the fall and spring semesters
Jessica Hyde: Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters
Where: BRCC Transfer Center, E112 (in-person, Zoom or phone).
- Schedule through Navigate, four-year transfer advising/JMU transfer advising (see instructions).
Summer hours: There are no in-person hours at BRCC during the summer. Make an in-person appointment at JMU.
