Welcome to “Treasure’s Flowers”, a collection exploring the intricate details of nature’s beauty.

Treasure Jones, a senior marketing major planning to pursue a master’s in accounting, discovered her passion for photography five years ago while capturing moments at a friend’s birthday party. What began as a casual hobby quickly became a creative outlet—one where she could experiment and grow without the pressure of perfection.

As a marketing student, Treasure finds a natural connection between her field of study and photography. For a social media course, she launched a photography account, allowing her to deepen her understanding of both visual storytelling and digital engagement.

Treasure is drawn to nature photography, appreciating the opportunity to slow down, explore and capture often-overlooked details. Flowers, in particular, fascinate her—their intricate patterns and delicate structures serve as inspiration for much of her work. Her favorite piece in this collection, Bee on Golden Bloom, was an unexpected moment; while zooming in to photograph a flower’s details, she accidentally captured a bee in the frame, making for a striking composition.

Through this collection, Treasure hopes to encourage others to spend more time outdoors and appreciate the beauty around them. She values having accessible natural spaces like JMU’s arboretum and hopes her work inspires people to take advantage of these resources, finding joy in the small wonders of nature.
