With a background in engineering and energy, Miles is Director of the Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Energy at JMU. He is interested in educating others about wind and solar energy and facilitating the increased adoption of renewable energy strategies in the state and region.
He recieved his doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and his bachelor's in physics from Clark University.
