Charge: The mission of the Faculty Recruitment Review Task Force is to assess current JMU faculty recruitment processes and make suggestions related to their revision. The committee will consider recruitment issues from the perspective of instructional faculty. The Faculty Recruitment Task Force has the following responsibilities:
- To review the history and evolution of JMU recruitment and hiring guidelines.
- To assess and provide recommendations pertaining to instructional faculty recruitment, detailed in the existing 2021 AA Guidelines for Recruiting and Hiring Faculty, from the creation of a job announcement to the point of offer.
- To advise the Provost on matters concerning faculty recruitment during the 2022-23 academic year.
