Program Descriptions

At JMU, difference is more than meets your eye — it is the opening of windows in your mind and in your life. It is about learning about and from others. Their experiences, their culture, their ideas — how we bring different perspectives and voices to the conversation that helps us understand who we are and who we wish to be.  Join staff and students from various constituencies and organizations to learn how our community supports students from all backgrounds. Hear from student support services like the Center for Multicultural Student Services (CMSS), Office of Disability Services, or Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE). Explore first-generation student experiences through the Reddix Center for First-Generation Students and hear from student organizations representing various under-represented groups at JMU.
