With Humanited United, Dr. Aidoo works to strengthen advocacy to African inter-governmental institutions and deepens their understanding of African philanthropy. Formerly, Aidoo served as the executive director of TrustAfrica, which is dedicated to "advancing equitable development and democratic governance in Africa. He also served as head of the Canadian International Development Research Center's health and equity program for West and Central Africa, head of the Ford Foundation's office for West Africa, director of the Ford Foundation's Special Initiative for Africa, and served as a trustee for several international organizations, including OXFAM America and Resource Alliance. He also taught at universities in Tanzanie, Ghana, and the United States in the 1970s and 1980s.
