John has worked in various capacities in the Center for Assessment and Research Studies. He began his work overseeing student assessment support services, which consisted of a group have graduate students who provided assessment consultation to the Division of Student Affairs at JMU. For the past two years he has primarily worked in the area of general education assessment. For example, he has served as a liaison to Cluster’s 2, 3, and 5 as well as the general education council. John has also been working with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia on developing a post-college outcomes assessment for the state.
