CARS Faculty/Assessment Specialist Role:

Joe is primarily interested in improving statistical methods and research designs for the social sciences. Often utilizing Monte Carlo simulation studies, this has included work on construct implications for multilevel measurement models, propensity score matching and weighting for intervention implementation, and research design considerations such as statistical power for clustered randomized trials. Within the Center for Assessment and Research Studies, Joe oversees the Program Assessment Support Services (PASS) team, supporting the university’s assessment efforts by evaluating program-level assessment reports.
