I help students navigate making their dreams a reality. I encourage and empower my students to find paths as unique as they are to get to where they way to be and write their story.
My Career Journey
I went to the University of Central Missouri for undergrad, where I got a BS in Psychology with a minor in Geography and had the opportunity to be super involved on campus. I worked in the Career Center for 3 years (the best 3 years ever), I was in a sorority, Sigma Kappa, and an honor fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi, where I got to connect with some of the most amazing individuals. By diving into my experiences there I found student affairs and discovered that I really enjoyed and wanted to continue to work with college students.
In pursuit of my little dream I was able to find a Master's Program at Texas A&M University where I just received my Master of Science in Educational Administration, focused on Student Affairs and Administration in Higher Education. While there I was Graduate Hall Director for 2 years, where I got to met and work with some really spectacular students. I wrote the Strategic Plan for the Veterans Resource and Support Center there to cover the next 5 years of growth and development. Connecting with and serving our Veteran population was a gift and one of my most memorable experiences to this day. I left Texas in May after graduation and fell in love with JMU's Career Center where I have the pleasure of coming everyday now!
