These special career panels feature guest speakers who are experts and working professionals across various industries and careers. Each panel focuses on a certain industry/field: Sports Communication, Small Businesses, Non-Profit, Human Resources, Creative Careers, etc.

The Practice Interview Events (PIE) gives JMU students to chance to prepare and feel confident for their future interviews and career fairs. 30-minute mock interviews are facilitated by real recruiters and professionals.

Resume Workshops: learn the basics of how to write a good resume - formats, layouts, wordings, content, do's and don'ts, etc. All students are encouraged to attend, without the need to bring your own resumes.
Resume Reviews: get your resume reviewed and polished with specific and personalized feedback. All students are welcome to bring their resumes (even in unfinished drafts) for a quick review!
Organized by The Pantry and UCC, the JMU Career Closet is a donation-based resource for all students, with a specific focus on professional attire, accessories, and footwear: students are welcome to take one complete outfit from the closet, free of charge. LEARN MORE

The UCC Media Team will take your professional headshot (portrait photos) that can be used anywhere for your professional development (i.e. LinkedIn, Handshake, online portfolio, etc.). We will use a high quality camera to take several photos, plus we will do our best to send them to you within 3 business days! NO prior registration or sign-up needed, just come to our upcoming sessions.
