I am the Graduate Assistant in the Employer Services Office within UCC. I work on various projects to help out around the office with a focus on career fairs and administrative tasks. I also meet with students to encourage them through career shifts and to support them in becoming career ready.
My Career Journey
I graduated from JMU in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. But before I had a degree, I had an undeclared major and no ideas about the future. I was able to work with the University Career Center and engage in programs such as UNST 102 which helped me to recognize my passions. Since declaring a psych major and, later, a sociology minor, I have worked as an intern in different variations of mental health care and have found an eagerness to work with people in safe and trusting environments. I am now pursuing my MA/EdS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling on a Licensed Professional Counselor track. I am excited to say that after so many years of uncertainty, I am confident about my career choices. I started at UCC in August of 2023 with the intention of ensuring that every student feels excited about their individualized career journey long before graduation.

Some fun facts about me:
- I am wholeheartedly a Dutch Bros coffee girl, but Dunkin will have to suffice.
- I was a student athlete from kindergarten to my senior year of college and have the honor of coaching a local high school.
- I think fall is the greatest season: school starts (I'm a nerd), leaves change, college football starts(!), there's pumpkins everywhere, and sweaters become my uniform. What's not to love?
