Students enrolled full-time in the Combined M.A./Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs in Assessment and Measurement are eligible for graduate assistantships (GAs) with the Center for Assessment and Research Studies (CARS). Duties of the GA positions are aligned with the coursework of the Assessment and Measurement program of study and provide students with opportunities to gain valuable hands-on experience in assessment, measurement, and quantitative methods. These GA positions involve 20 hours per week assisting faculty and staff with assessment-related activities.
Remuneration for GA positions includes the full cost of tuition and fees as well as a yearly stipend to help defray the cost of living expenses. Students will also be supplied with office space, computer, and software, and a limited amount of funding for travel to conferences.
Given good performance, students will be offered the GA for each year they are in the program.
