Since 1998, JMU’s Health Service Administration Program has been continuously approved by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) as a Full Certified Undergraduate Program. Programs that achieve the status of Full Certified Program by AUPHA meet a rigorous set of standards that include faculty resources and credentials, strength of curriculum, availability of student support services, quality of program assessment, and successful placement of program graduates working in healthcare management.
The Health Services Administration Program at James Madison University is one of only 45 Full Certified undergraduate programs in the United States. In 1998, the program received initial approval as a Full Certified program by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), the highest recognition for undergraduate programs in Health Services Administration in the country. In 2002 and again in 2007 and 2013, the program was re-certified under AUPHA.
