If the agreement has not been received by the University within 30 (thirty) days, the contract is no longer binding and will be subject to change and availability. After receiving the signed contract and estimated quote, the purchaser shall deposit a sum of no less than 25% (twenty-five percent) of the total anticipated charges based on the guaranteed head and room count with the University.

Balance is due within 30 days after receipt of the invoice. Please make checks payable to JMU. A $50.00 fee will be assessed for any check returned by the bank. JMU TIN 54-6001756

JMU has a copy and print center available on campus that conference groups can use for a fee. A full-service post office is available in Madison Union. Your Conference Assistant will help you access these services if needed.

If you choose to have a catered event or banquet, JMU Special Events and Catering will help you choose the right menu and properly staff the event. We will include the cost of this service in your final bill. JMU, through contract with Aramark Corporation, maintains the exclusive right to provide food service on all university property.

JMU Parking Services patrols all on-campus parking lots 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All vehicles parked on campus must obtain a virtual parking permit or be in a designated parking lot. Your Conference Assistant will help coordinate parking that is safe and convenient for your group.

Conference Services and the University Business Office can provide registration assistance. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

The James Madison University Police Department regularly patrols the campus and surrounding area. There are interior courtesy telephones in buildings, Area of Rescue Assistance (ARA) phones in stairwells, and outdoor emergency “Blue Light” phones across campus that allow instant communication with JMU Police. If you are interested in hosting an event at James Madison University, please contact us as soon as possible because availability is limited. Even if you are not sure of the exact number of participants yet, we will work with you to make sure that space is available for your group. Our timeline is generally flexible; however, final confirmations are due at least two weeks prior to your event.

During the summer, the bus service on campus is limited. Please let us know if your group has any special transportation needs so that we can make arrangements. Any transportation costs will be consolidated into your final bill.
