Dennis currently serves as the coordinator for the Arts and Humanities area of General Education while still an active faculty member of the School of Theatre and Dance, where he teaches theatre history, performance analysis, alternative performance, and performance studies courses. He is a scholar and frequently publishes on modern Czech and East-Central European theatre and acting theory, and serves as an editor for the book series Theatre & University for the International University Theatre Association. He has worked as a professional actor, director, and lighting designer. He continues to direct productions at JMU’s Forbes Center.
