The Academic Affairs Policy Committee comprises instructional and A&P faculty. Pursuant to Academic Affairs Policy 000, the membership includes the chair of the Faculty Senate Policy Committee, an appointee selected by the Speaker of the Senate, and additional members as determined by the Provost, including representation from the Office of Research, Economic Development and Innovation, the Office of Student Academic Success, University Studies, Libraries, the Graduate School, and the Office of University Counsel (ex-officio).

If you are requesting a revision to a current Academic Affairs policy, please submit your request to aapolicy@jmu.edu and please provide the following information:
- Your name.
- Policy number.
- Narrative summarizing the changes to the policy.
- The rationale behind the change to the policy.
- Any stakeholders that may be affected by the change to the policy outside of Academic Affairs.
To submit a new Academic Affairs policy, complete the New Policy Form and email it to aapolicy@jmu.edu.
