You can invest in future Dukes and create your own philanthropic legacy at JMU by naming a part of the university that is meaningful to you.
When you choose to champion a facility, program, faculty support or student scholarship, you advance JMU’s mission of preparing students to be educated and enlightened citizens who lead productive and meaningful lives.
Beloved elements of JMU that have been named through philanthropic giving include:
Carrier Library Renovation & Expansion
Leave your mark on the library of the future and the historic heart of campus by naming a space in the renovated and expanded Carrier Library. Invest in generations of future Dukes who will discover the innovative learning tools they need to succeed and the JMU spirit they love in their beloved Carrier Library.
Alumni have given over $3 million to name meaningful spaces in the library, slated to reopen Fall 2026. Grand entrances, classrooms, galleries, suites, studios, meeting rooms and other areas of significance are waiting to be named.
College of Health and Behavioral Studies (CHBS) Building
The College of Health and Behavioral Studies curriculum relies heavily on technology so students can simulate and train on the systems they will be using in the healthcare sector when they graduate.
By naming a space in the College of Health and Behavioral Studies Building, you can ensure that technology can be upgraded regularly to anticipate future workforce demands.
