In order to provide quality programs, activities, resources and advocacy, JMU has instituted an international student fee which will be assessed to all F and J visa holding students enrolled in full-time graduate JMU courses. This $100 fee is posted on each student's bill by the University Business Office every fall and spring semester.

Students who are awarded assistantships typically receive substantial funding to assist in covering tuition and living expenses.
Living Expenses & Visa Requirements: Living expenses for graduate students are estimated at $16,200 per year. International students must verify they have all educational and living expenses available for the first 12 months in the US to obtain a visa.
