STEP 1: Complete trainings in the COVLC

You will receive an email from the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center (COVLC) when your training has been assigned.
- It may take as many as 10 days to have an active account in the COVLC.
- If you do not receive this email within 10 days after your start date, please reach out to hrcompliance@jmu.edu.

Work with your supervisor to find a good time and place to complete trainings.

Go to https://covlc.virginia.gov/ to get your login credentials:
- Go to "Forgot your Login ID or password?"
- For your login ID, enter your last name and your @jmu.edu email address and select “Get Login ID.”
- For your login ID, enter your last name and your @jmu.edu email address and select “Get Login ID.”
- Your Login ID will be sent to your JMU email address.
- You will need to take note of it for the next step.

- Next you will need to get a temporary password.
- Enter your login ID.

- Use it to log in, then the system will force you to change your password.

Once you are successfully logged into the COVLC, "Your Training Assignments" will be listed front and center, under the scrolling picture bar.

On the next page, click "View Content" in the box at the top of the page, located on the right-hand side.

Some modules have tests which must be completed at the end of the training. Once you have completed the modules, they will appear on your transcript and will disappear from your training assignments. Additional trainings may be required depending upon your department and position.
STEP 2: Complete trainings in MyMadison
Please wait until you receive an email notification that you have been assigned to the Title IX training course before logging into the Vector training through MyMadison. The email will specify you are being invited to complete the Vector LMS Higher Education Edition Online Training on preventing harassment and discrimination through MyMadison.
Follow the instructions for accessing and completing the Kognito Mental Health program online:
- In MyMadison, go to the "My Services" tab.
- Click the Kognito icon to access the training.
- You will need a computer with internet access and audio capabilities using any major web browser released within the previous year.
- Please remember to log out from both Kognito and MyMadison when you are done.
