Reslie was born in Manatí, PR and raised in South Jersey. She is an intercultural communication scholar with an emphasis on food, identity, colonization, and Puerto Rican studies. Her most recent research examines how puertorriqueña's relational embodied cooking practices are central to cultural production and knowledge transmission. She loves cooking, making art, and spending time in the woods looking for bits of moss and mushrooms.
