Assistant Professor
Dr. Luis Novoa, a proud Colombian native, is an Assistant Professor in thedepartment of Computer information Systems and Business Analytics since fall 2017. He teaches Business Analytics quantitatively focused courses, including Optimization Methods and Applied Probability and Statistics. He earned his Ph.D. in Decision Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, DC and his masters and undergraduate degrees in Industrial Engineering at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. His current research focuses on the application of analytics techniques to transportation, logistics and urban planning problems. A father of two boys, he loves spending time outdoors playing soccer, and reading about science history.
