Favorite JMU Memory

My favorite memory at JMU has definitely been a morning in September. I woke up as the sun was rising and went outside my building to watch. This was about a month after move-in, and as a freshman I worried that college would be stressful, overwhelming, and lonely. But when it was just me and the sun that morning, I realized that everything was going to be okay.

Advice for New Dukes

Say yes! If someone invites you to hang out, say yes. If you're offered to attend an interest meeting for a club you have no familiarity with, say yes. Always be open and looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
