AI (Artificial Intelligence) data is any data used as input to or output of AI models, tools, or systems. James Madison University (JMU) employs various AI tools, also called AI assistants or agents. These include Microsoft’s CoPilot products, Zoom’s AI assistants, and Libraries’ Scopus AI tool. JMU Information Technology (IT) maintains a number of systems that provide information for JMU students and enhance the efficiency of JMU’s operations. Some of these systems collect, store, and use AI data.
JMU is committed to protecting its institutional data and your personal data.
