Meet Carleigh, the Assistant Director for SACM.  

Carleigh joined SACM in 2022. However, she’s been a Duke since 2009! After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2013, she acquired a teaching license and taught high school art for nine years. Now, her daily work-life is filled with client meetings, answering student staff questions, and providing feedback and edits. She loves the energy it gives her and loves working with students daily.  

One of Carleigh’s strengths is her skill in Adobe InDesign, and she’s always ready to help her students solve any design issues they may have. 

Carleigh loves being on the JMU campus again, as it’s a place with fun memories for her. Outside of work, she enjoys watercolor painting, reading, hiking and playing with her two kids.
