Dance Instructor
Sarah Gosselin is a physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. She grew up dancing, and graduated from James Madison University (JMU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. She then attended Shenandoah University, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since that time, her focus has been to combine her two passions of dance and physical therapy, by providing specialized treatment and education for dancers. Sarah is the owner and operator of SG Performance LLC, which provides a number of services geared to meet dancers' needs.
She has returned to her alma mater to work closely with the JMU Dance department. As an adjunct faculty member, she educates students on anatomy, injury prevention, and conditioning. She also provides injury screens to the first-year students.
Sarah continued to remain active within the performing arts community as a performer, choreographer, and educator. After graduating from James Madison University, she performed with smaller dance companies in both Washington DC and North Carolina. More recently, she assisted in running the local non-profit Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative where she served as the treasurer from 2016 to 2021.
