Costume Shop Manager
Jill served as the costume shop manager at Virginia Commonwealth University, Florida Repertory Theatre, and the Hippodrome State Theatre. Jill received her BFA from VCU in 2017 before going on to complete her MFA in costume production from Carnegie Mellon University. Jill’s thesis titled, “Fat in Fashion: Exploring the Disdain of the Large Female Figure” explores the racial fat phobia of the fashion industry and focuses on how we can prevent harm and create safer spaces in the costume industry. She enjoys all aspects of management and the production process - draping, stitching, crafting, and using her label maker. Jill is a licensed cosmetologist and spends her free time spoiling her chiweenie, Goose.
