      - While the university has received some new funding from the state there is still $19.2 million in revenue loss based on a
        general fund revenue reduction of approximately $8 million and a stimulus fund revenue reduction of approximately $11.3
        million;
      - To help offset the $19.2 million in reductions the Board of Visitors has approved an increase of tuition and fees for 2011-
        2012.
  • Approved 2011-2012 tuition and fees
      - The tuition and fees increase for 2011-2012 will result in approximately $12.8 million to help offset the $19.2 million
        reduction.
      - Virginia undergraduate students will pay an additional $896 or 5.76% in total on-campus cost in 2011-2012.
      - With the 2011-2012 tuition and fees increase, JMU’s total in-state and out-of-state costs remained positioned in the middle
        relative to other Virginia public universities and colleges;
