We are a program dedicated to providing quality education preparing students for careers in nutrition and dietetics.
The goals of the DPD at James Madison University are:
- The program will prepare graduates for supervised practice and graduate programs to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in clinical, community, and foodservice areas.
- The program will promote a learning environment that prioritizes inclusion, diversity, equity, and access to prepare graduates with high professional values.
- The program will produce graduates capable of graduate work and in interpreting and applying research to dietetics practice.
- The program will prepare graduates to work collaboratively and interprofessionally.
