Application Deadline
Applicants must possess a masters degree and are required to be currently employed in higher education or Student Affairs before application is submitted.
The application will open September 1.
Application deadline: January 2 priority deadline, and January 15th is final deadline.

Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.
Required by Program
Written responses to these four items:
- Describe your current position and how you interact with college students.
- Describe how you will benefit from completing the certificate program.
- Describe how the degree-seeking students (i.e. CSPA classmates) will benefit from your participation in class activities.
- Describe your future plans and the role of a CSPA certificate in those plans.
Resume
One Letter of Recommendation from a current supervisor.
