Talent Development
The Talent Development department supports the university mission and promotes university and individual success through professional and organizational development. Trainings are offered for free to AP Faculty, Classified staff, and part-time wage employees. The Talent Development department offers a wide variety of personal and professional trainings that focuses on learning areas which help each individual grow as an employee and assists on reaching his/her own potential. Workshops, training series, departmental retreats, professional book club and certificate programs are all available. Areas of concentration include, but are not limited too, administrative skills, communication, customer service, leadership, organizational development, work/life wellness, and teamwork. Technology Training
University employees have various courses and options to learn more about computing, technology and instructional technology.
Information Technology offers a variety of computing workshops for administrative and professional faculty, classified and wage employees.
Technology Training offers hands-on workshops, or do-it-yourself tutorials.
The Center for Instructional Technology is committed to providing the JMU community with a wide range of consulting support and production services for developing online, blended, and technology-facilitated courses and programs that offer faculty and students new educational options and opportunities. The Center for Instructional Technology assist faculty and administration of emerging technologies and related issues.
