Human Resources hosted JMU Job Shadow Day on October 29th. Approximately 150 eighth graders from Harrisonburg and Rockingham County public and private schools were greeted by the Duke Dog and heard words of wisdom and encouragement from Coach Kenny Brooks. The students then broke into groups to visit a variety of departments to learn more about areas they may like to study and work in the future. The students and their chaperones met for lunch at E-Hall to complete the morning’s activities. Human Resources extends a very big THANK YOU to the departments and employees whose time and effort made this year’s JMU Job Shadow Day another enlightening, fun and successful event for area youth. If you are interested in chaperoning this fun and rewarding event in 2016, please contact Kellie Crawford with Human Resources at 568-4115 or crawf2kd@jmu.edu.
