Membership Intake/Rush is the process of selecting, educating, and initiating new members into a chapter/house. This process is prescribed by each chapter's national organization.
I.C.G.C. organizations are allowed to have membership intake in the fall and spring semester of the academic year. All advertment for intake/rush activities can be found either in CMSS (Student Success Center - Suite 1312), on ICGC's Instagram, or on the individual chapter's social media page.
Membership intake requirements for each organization vary. Minimum requirements are, but not limited to the following:

alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc. and Lambda Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Inc. - Membership Clearance and Education Program
- All students interested in joining an ICGC organization must attend the Membership Clearance & Education Program to be considered eligiable to pursue membership in any of our organizations. During this program students will learn about JMU's Anti-Hazing Policy, the truth behind fraternities and sororities, ICGC organization's history, and much more. This program is mandatory. You must attend at least once per academic year to be considered eligible.

I.C.G.C. also hosts various events throughout the year to engage campus and teach students about their organizations. We also encourage students to spend time researching the various I.C.G.C. organizations and to build relationship with the chapter members. CMSS has different books available that will help expand your knowledge of Multicultural Greek-Letter Organizations.
Many organizations will host informational meetings, programs, or events to allow students the opportunity to learn more about their organizations.
