Matt Leech graduated from JMU in 2008 with a B.F.A. in Printmaking and has spent the last sixteen years working in a variety of creative-focused work environments as a graphic designer, illustrator, creative director, UX designer, muralist and lecturer. No matter the client, Matt is most interested in using design as a tool to create more meaningful, humanized, empathetic connections between people, places, and businesses. He particularly loves creating opportunities to foster creative partnerships with SMAD students and area businesses for real-world work experience and community enrichment.

When he's not working, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with his partner Amanda and their two children, playing music with friends, and running and riding trails in the Blue Ridge.
