Description
Duties:
AVID tutors facilitate small tutorial groups of college prep students (Grades 9-12). A short training meeting will take place prior to beginning employment.
Requirements:
- Candidates should enjoy working with students, be punctual, patient, and flexible.
- Extensive knowledge of specific subjects is not required.
- We are looking for applicants who can commit until May if possible.
- Transportation to and from the school is the responsibility of the tutor.
- All chosen applicants will agree to a background check, submit a TB testing/screening result, and other information as required by Harrisonburg City Public Schools prior to tutoring.

You may choose which days, times, and locations work with your schedule. You can do as many or as few as you would like. Available Shifts: Harrisonburg High—Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays: 8:55-10:20 There are also shifts twice a week (days may vary): 12:04-1:25, 1:30-2:45 Rocktown High–Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and/or Thursdays: 8:20-9:36, 10:18-11:34, 12:00-1:23.
