Duties:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible babysitter for our 3 children. We live in Staunton and have an 11 year old boy, a 9 year old boy, and a 4 year old girl. The boys are very involved with sports (basketball, baseball, swim team) and our 11 year old has a very active social life with friends. Our daughter loves pretend play (dress up, dolls, etc.) and while she can play very well independently loves an audience and the bulk of time will be spent with her. We need regular Wednesday evening help every week from 5:30-10pm. In addition, we would love to have someone available for date nights, weekend help, etc. Potential for overnights in the future as well. We do have two cats (one indoor and one indoor/outdoor) and a friendly bunny.
Requirements:
Care for children ages 4-11. Help with dinner, clean up, bedtime prep, and getting the 4 and 9 year olds to sleep. We don't want a housekeeper, but would expect any activities or dishes used while we're gone to be tidied up. Reliable transportation is a huge benefit as we would likely need help with transportation to and from kids' practices and games. We'd love to find someone with a lot of energy to keep up with an ultra girly 4 year old, but also someone who is comfortable talking about all things football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and hip hop with our 11 year old. Our 9 year old is shy but has a super inquisitive mind and loves to learn how things work (usually by taking them apart). He also loves to swim and is busy at his team practice 4 nights a week and every weekend. In his free time he is usually playing with a neighbor or on Fortnite. Starting pay is $20/hr
