Description:

This workshop will provide an overview about hiring a foreign national at JMU, whether it's for a short visit or in a permanent position. We will review different visa categories, JMU sponsorship policies, taxation, and the timeline to file paperwork. There will be plenty of time for your questions to be addressed. 

Learning Objectives:

• Identity common visa categories for foreign nationals to work at JMU. 
• Understand timelines for the hiring processing and paperwork.   
• Identity who to contact when hiring foreign nationals.
