TD2433

Note: This session is capped at 35 participants

Total Workshop Time: 2 Hours

Pre-requisites: None

Description:

5 generations. Who would have thought that one day we would have 5 generations working side-by-side to accomplish the goals of this university?

But here we are. And, wow, it can be a challenge. Fortunately, there is help.

In this workshop, based on the book Sticking Points by Hayden Shaw, we will discuss what the generations have in common, and the ways in which they differ, when it comes to communication, decision-making, respect, and more.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the “sticking points” that helped to define each generation.
  • Develop an understanding of the differences and similarities between generations.
  • Learn how to “flex” when developing strategies for working together effectively.
  • Discuss Shaw’s five-step process for managing generational differences.
