Biography
Denise has over 21 years of experience at JMU, with a work background in Centennial Scholars Program, Orientation, Sponsored Programs and in her current role as Program Administrator for the Center for Faculty Innovation.
In May 2020, Denise earned her Masters of Education in the Educational Technology program at JMU and has transferred these acquired skills and knowledge into managing the creation of instructional videos, educational content, and marketing material for use with the CFI's website, remote and virtual learning, Canvas and other areas pertinent to supporting professional development efforts at CFI.
Her previous education includes a Bachelors of Individualized Study from JMU where she graduated as a magna cum laude and received the Pinnacle Honors award through the Adult Degree Program. Denise's concentration was a blend of Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communications, Art, Communication Studies and Learning, Computer Information Systems and Technology & Leadership Education. Denise also has associate's degrees in both Computer Science and Business Administration from Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia.
