Basic "Need to Know" Information
A "College Partnership Laboratory School”, or “Lab School” means a public school established by a public institution of higher education, public higher education center, institute, or authority; or an eligible private institution of higher education as defined in § 23.1-628.
The JMU Lab School enrollment is open to 9th - 12th grade student of all abilities on a lottery, space-available basis.
Our Lab School provides an opportunity for students to gain experiences to influence their future academic opportunities, provide clarity and knowledge on career pathways, and receive exposure with their educators to new ideas and teaching methods.
All rising ninth grade students in the state of Virginia are eligible apply. Due to limited space, students may be placed on a waitlist but not guaranteed a spot.
